It's gonna be May
Are we still using that Justin Timberlake meme in 2025? Anyways, let's get to it...
This is what we’re on today.
What We’re Up To
Hey y’all!
How’s your spring coming along so far? Hopefully, you’re getting some better weather where you are and avoiding your seasonal allergy triggers. Keep that Claritin on deck.
We dropped an episode last week where we got into the movie Friday on it’s 30th anniversary. (30 years? That’s wild.) We got into our favorite characters and scenes, and even dropped a review for a current movie. Check it out here if you haven’t already.
We also just recorded another episode with our fam over
that will be dropping soon, so keep an eye out for that as well. It’s always a good time when we can link up with Jay Ray & DJ Sir Daniel, and this one is no exception. What We’re Watching
When we first heard about this movie, it kinda made us go 🤔 because of the secrecy surrounding it. There were no details, but Coogler and Jordan haven’t let us down so far, so once the trailer dropped a few months ago, the interest went waaay up. Now that we’ve actually seen it, this is one of the better films that we’ve seen in a while.
From Ryan Coogler—director of “Black Panther” and “Creed”—and starring Michael B. Jordan comes a new vision of fear: “Sinners.”
Trying to leave their troubled lives behind, twin brothers (Jordan) return to their hometown to start again, only to discover that an even greater evil is waiting to welcome them back.
“You keep dancing with the devil, one day he’s gonna follow you home.”
If y’all haven’t seen it yet, try to catch it in IMAX. It’s only on regular screens starting today, but it’ll be back on IMAX screens in a couple of weeks for a limited run, due to overwhelming demand. Even if you can’t experience it in 70mm, it’s still a must-see film.

What We’re Listening To
It Must Be Magic by Teena Marie
While prepping for an upcoming episode, we’ve been listening to a lot of, let’s say, a certain type of music, and this album has been getting a lot of burn. We even opened this newsletter with one of the tracks. My parents used to play this all the time when I was little, so this took me back to 5 years old when I was playing it last week. Get into it while you’re working today, it’ll start your weekend off right.
