What We’re Up To
Hey y’all!
Hope all is well on your side of the inbox. Things are good over here, as good as they can be with the world being what it is right now. We’re working on a couple of new things for the pod that we hope to share with the world real soon. But in the meantime, we have a new episode hitting your feeds in a bit. We dug into the career of someone who doesn’t really get mentioned as much when you start talking about the legends, but once you start going through their discography, you start to think that they might be the greatest, despite being the 5th or 6th person you think of when these discussions are had. We’re not gonna say who it is, but here’s a hint. They have more than 30 #1 songs across multiple genres. Let us know who you think it is in the comments.

What We’re Listening To
The Romantic by Bruno Mars
This one sounds like a continuation of his album with Anderson .Paak, An Evening with Silk Sonic, but with some Latin pop, psychedelic rock and Soulja Slim sprinkled in. It really sounds like Bruno made it to get played on Art Laboe’s (This reference is for my L.A., Arizona & Nevada peeps) show. It’s a quick listen too, only 9 songs. We were listening to it in the car and was surprised at how fast we were hearing a song again.

You Down Wit’ O.P.P.? (Other Peoples Podcasts)
Wisecrack by Tenderfoot
I found out about this one a few months back but just got around to listening to it this week when I saw it had cleaned up at the Ambies. It’s definitely a wild ride.
He left home as the chubby kid with a dream, a decade later, he's a touring comic with a killer set. Literally. In Wisecrack, stand-up comedian Edd Hedges returns to his hometown for a charity gig, only to find himself headlining the most terrifying night of his life. The warm welcome quickly unravels into a chilling true crime tale of a downward spiral and a town shaken by murder. When TV crime producer Jodi Tovay stumbled across Edd’s comedy set, it did more than get a few laughs, it opened the door to a years-long investigation she never saw coming. Part comedy special, part true crime thriller, Wisecrack blends punchlines with plot twists in a genre-defying ride where the laughs are real and the danger is no joke.
